With family and friends gathered for the holiday season, Christmas can be a lovely and romantic time to have your wedding. Today we are featuring some Christmas Wedding ideas decoration ideas that can turn your wedding into a Christmas miracle!
A Christmas Tree
It’s not Christmas with out a tree so if you have space HAVE ONE!!! You can have the tree decorations reflect your Christmas wedding colours scheme or you can get your guest involved by having everyone, even the bride and groom, adding decorations to the tree! Why not get plain paper ornaments – maybe shaped in Christmas, winter shapes and have your guests write you notes on them, and hang them on the tree. For a finishing touch, have your guests place your wedding gifts underneath the tree.
These stars which are part of the German Moravian tradition make beautiful tree decorations or garlands. You can purchase Moravian star garland online (see the beautiful strand below) . . .
Purchase individual stars from Linda Baxter at www.moravianstarlady.com or find instructions to make your own online.
Nothing is more romantic than mistletoe at Christmas. There are many ways you can add mistletoe to your wedding decor. Use coloured ribbon to hang mistletoe balls along the head table. Have a giant Mistletoe ball hanging over the dance floor so that when couples pass under it they kiss. Have fun!
Have your decorations, name cards, table numbers, flowers and center pieces reflect the season. Ornaments, garland, lights, holly, and evergreen add that seasonal touch. A generous amount of poinsettias will fill the room with their warmth. You can even have miniature Christmas trees on the tables!
If you plan on giving your guests receptions favours, place them in stockings and hang them from the chairs. Add and orange for old fashioned fun, and maybe ad odd piece of coal for fun and laughs. If you are going to use real coal or charcoal, make sure you wrap it in a clear plastic wrap or you might not have a very happy wedding guest!
