How do I activate my engage card?

- Online – go to my cards page and click the activate button next to the relevant card image.

What is an Engage account?

When your payments are due, Engage will automatically pay them by standing order or direct debit, or release your saved funds back into your account to spend by debit card or to withdraw cash.
How do I put money into my engage account?
You cannot pay into your account by a balance transfer from a credit card. You may only pay in funds up to your maximum account balance. A fee may apply for each payment into your account through a PayPoint retailer, please refer to the Fees and Limits table (section 33).
What time does money go in Engage account?
If you have requested a transfer during the day, either in one of our branches, by calling the helpline, or via the members’ area, these will be sent after 3.30pm, and should be in your bank account or on your Engage card by around 5:30pm.

Can you get an overdraft with Engage?
There are no overdraft facilities in any Engage prepaid debit cards and therefore no credit check is needed, however you do need a valid ID and you must be a UK resident.
How long does money take to transfer from credit union?
Direct Debits take 5 working days to clear. Money received by standing order or through Electronic Funds Transfer can take one to two days to cross accounts but, after that, they are cleared straight away. Can I make payments into, or out of, my account online?
